I have lost 64 pounds with Ozempique and would like to inform you that this is not magic, but is in fact a weight loss treatment.

If you think that one injection a week will magically help you lose the extra weight, think again.

Zee Krstic Posted on March 11, 2023.

Losing a significant amount of weight is something I have only dreamed of doing. I was an overweight kid, clinically obese for most of my adult life, but only recently did I realize that I had lost 64 pounds. Anyway, I hardly felt it when I got off the scale.

It was certainly not my first weight, but one of many weights after a sudden diagnosis of diabetes 2, largely caused by a debilitating Covid-19 infection earlier that same year. Since then I have changed almost everything in my lifestyle, changed my diet, adopted a fitness routine, and started on numerous new medications. When I saw how 4 or 5 pounds would fall off each week, I fantasized about when I would feel if and when I would reach that 50 pound pattern.

But when it finally came time, five months later, I realized that I wasn’t worried about losing weight – I hadn’t felt glorious or triumphant because I had been attributing it to myself for so long. Instead, I worried more about the results of my HBA1C test (a blood test that measures average blood sugar levels over the past three months). I was planning to find out whether the body produces insulin or not, or whether I would participate in the over 8 million yanks who require systematic and painful insulin injections and depend on these injections to carry all their difficulties.

I started with Ozempik for the following reason: had I measured my A1C, I would have had to take insulin. My doctor explained to me that this drug would indeed help my body overcome the extensive damage of diabetes; by August 2022, this product was in time for the latest “slimming wonder” to rise in society. But today, when it comes to weight management, even those who pay attention to their weight plan to get in on the action, making this family drug consideration very compelling. However, due to my diagnosis of the disease, acquired at only 27 years of age, I had to realize that getting slimmer was not the key. I fought not to let diabetes control my personal body.

People with diabetes need help regulating blood sugar as our bodies try to use or conserve the sugar we receive through digestion. Glucose is considered one of the more efficient energy sources for our bodies. However, we need insulin to help our bodies make glucose, and if we do not respond adequately to insulin (or if the pancreas does not do it adequately, which is more common in type 1 diabetes), blood glucose levels will rise. Unclosed blood glucose levels can damage blood vessels, the nervous system, the immune system, and can also affect many organs. For this reason, diabetics often use insulin to supplement what the pancreas cannot arrange autonomously.

When I started Ozempik my main goal was to lower my A1C. This is as difficult a problem as people who suffer from this disease can tell you; when I was first diagnosed in July, my A1C was 9.8%. ozempik is made with semiglutide, which is a natural product that is used in the treatment of diabetes. This helps the pancreas mimic the gut hormone that promotes more insulin when blood glucose levels increase, and compensates for the peaks that contribute to the highest A1c.

At the time, there was confirmation demonstrating semaglutide’s involvement in people clinically afflicted by obesity; products such as Wegovy (the same drug as Ozempic, but at a higher dose) have already won official encouragement from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2021. The Hollywood summit began to jump on the zeitgeist, but all I knew was that if it had worked, it would have prevented me from having to stick it in every day and pay a fairly high pharmacy account.

When I dared to look at the A1C test results in December, I could hardly believe it. In just five months I had dropped to 5.4%. It was the first time in a long time that I had not boosted myself, screamed from the rooftops, or bounced back happy. I called my mother and left her in tears of relief without embarrassment or shame.

My family and close friends were concerned, but I’m not going to lie; I was not the only one. The majority reacted to my brushing chin and jaw and the way they shrunk in shape and dr on their clothes. It was a rare break for me. Because I soon realized that my cheap relief came from a narrow escape from the future, for I was destined to endure all the difficulties every day. After all, I had experienced that my well was under control and no longer degrading. The sense of euphoria allowed me to refrain from the appearance of freedom, which I did not notice until it had hardly taken – I would no longer associate with Insulin Spray.

Ozempic is not an ambitious product.

Due to the way Ozempik was treated in the press and public networks, over time I lost more weight. This gap grew. I did not feel I could share my triumphs with others – in fact, it was not easy to discuss my journey with anyone.

The majority of global media and public network users determine Ozempeik the most in terms of weight loss. As such, those who need access to these drugs, and whether they are really useful or not – according to the majority, everyone should have the opportunity to do is to go and train to become slim, a diet that is actually impossible for many people. For someone who is so closely symbolized by the shame of being overweight in a fat society, I was surprised to see another stigma among those who have Ozenpick or other GLP-1 drugs (class 2 diabetes drugs had to be turned away in order to improve their well being.

Even at my size, I thought I was well informed and intended, but did not see it. When I told my first mate that I had already been to Ozenpike, they leaned over to me and whispered about how I had won the rotten lottery. Shortly after Christmas, people I hadn’t seen in months turned brutally behind me and their eyes narrowed into c c a smile when I told them more about my injections. They said they had seen Tik Tok about Ozenpake (the content tag alone has over 568 million views) and mentioned the cumulative inaccuracies they had seen during my swim since then – it was clear that they thought I was in the system somehow. I had to gas my way to the narrow waist. I felt I had a committed and uncomfortable secret as they came to their own personal conclusions.

That is what I am talking about now. Unlike this, there are many misconceptions about how this product works, why it is needed, and what it actually means. Most of the time, people want semaglutide to bring immediate results. This is hoping to reverse diabetes or reduce weight loss by 15 pounds in a few months, which is even more annoying. The reality is very different.

Ozempeik (pictured here near the medical package) is administered once a week and users apply the seal under the skin of the abdomen, legs, or shoulders.

Ozempeik’s real challenge is to revive the pancreas.

Semglutide is an injectable drug known in the medical profession as GLP-1 sensorianist. It mimics an intestinal hormone called incretin. It encourages the pancreas to naturally produce more insulin when blood glucose levels are high. This is what the pancreas normally prepares.Long before Ozempik was considered a very “miracle” product, it attracted the interest of obesity medicine professionals after extensive clinical studies in 2017 showed that weight loss was a necessary aspect of the drug. effect of the drug. Since more than 80% of people with diabetes 2 are clinically afflicted by obesity, doctors were interested as the product collided with two birds in one swoop and did different doses of the same product to cure obesity the first time.

I was prescribed Osemp after my pancreas ate, after my pancreas released insulin, and after my blood glucose levels rose. Even if I had not lost a pound, the significant decrease in A1C would indicate that semaglutide definitely helped my pancreas come back from the overload caused by uncontrolled diabetes – it meant that Ozempic was a successful treatment for me. The fact that precedent obscured my own credibility (due in large part to my best habits) counts as a prize.

So why do people still lose credibility in Ozempik? By maintaining blood sugar levels, hunger is eliminated. On a physical level, the product slows digestion and keeps ambrosia away from the stomach, making blood sugar levels more even, says Lakshmi Priyankumahari, M.D., an endocrinologist at Northeastern Medical Group at Yale New Haven. But weight loss, which makes Ozempic, is the product’s main goal. Clinical studies have also shown that the product lowers psychovascular risk in patients who still have heart health problems, she says.

In short, Ozempic is first used to stabilize blood sugar levels, and doctors see weight loss as an extra plus.

Says Beatrice Hong, an arts, endocrinologist, diabetes, and metabolism specialist at Duke Health, “When you start someone on Ozempic or another form of semiglutide, you’re really looking for improved blood sugar control.” She says, “After three to six months, we are going to see a decrease in hemoglobin A1c and a better measured blood glucose pattern.” – These are the most important characteristics I look for to recognize a patient’s triumph.

Ozenpake is not witchcraft. I have changed my entire life to help medicine.

Semglutide does not cause a drop in blood sugar or weight loss with just a week of injections. If I had continued to consume unrestricted amounts of added sugar, painfully saturated fats, and processed refined carbohydrates, my A1C would have remained elevated, even with the support of Ozempek. And of course, there would be little to no weight loss. I immediately made an appointment with a dietitian for an in-depth session to help me adjust my diet to cure my diabetes and continue to do so in real time.

“If you look at the studies done on [the use of semiglutide] for both obesity and diabetes, they have all been combined with lifestyle changes,” says Dr. Ruchi Mathur, an endocrinologist specializing in thyroid disease at Cedars-Sinai University Medical Center in Los Angeles. “All of these clinical studies were conducted subject to a caloric deficit of at least 500 calories per day, an exercise goal of less than 150 minutes per week, plus monthly physical exams to ensure an optimal kind of life… The benefits always come in combination with lifestyle changes, and never without those changes.”

Overnight, I made the choice to adopt a lazy diet, a keto diet method that manually lowers blood sugar levels. I cut out the baggage I usually patronized: white bread, fancy pasta and noodles, starchy potatoes, coated frozen and pre-made foods, chocolate and candy, and lots of sugar-clogging sauces and condiments. I avoided fried foods and ate a huge portion of spinach, strawberries, avocados, and copious amounts of almonds. After about three months, I finally ended up on a modified Mediterranean diet with a little beef and more pulled pork. I only eat a set number of shakes per month and some rare dark chocolate.

For example, the author is pictured here in August 2022 with a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) attached to his shoulder for the first time. This monitor, the Abbott Freestyle Libre 2 system, allows diabetics to approach the shoulder daily.

I still have to wear my blood glucose monitor at all times to make sure that what I eat is not affecting my blood glucose control. My best friends saw that I was obsessed with scanning my upper arm monitor several times before and after meals, sometimes checking it more than 30 times a day for the first few months.

Ozempic does not make it easier to eat. When your body gets hooked on semi-glutide, saturation gradually decreases and I still fight that like a trek.

In short, if you want to lose weight on Ozempic, you must do everything that people without Ozempic do. “If there is a way to heal (from obesity), whether you think about drugs or surgery, one of the pillars of success is diet… That’s a loaded term,” said Dr. Worley, a surgeon at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas. Dr. Worley spends a lot of time informing patients about the general denominators of nutritional building blocks: switch to more harmonious protein sources, healthy fats, more fiber-rich vegetables, and hard carbohydrate values.

‘People have elementary school. This misconception is that a good [Wegovy] becomes magic or that preparing this one injection will have some occult nuance to its elementary to help them lose weight,” he says. “We owe it to ourselves to think about weight loss in a more constructed approach. Sometimes, the only thing we have is tools to help people create outrage over obesity management.”

If I don’t maintain my enthusiasm for exercise, I’m in trouble – and Ozempik won’t save me.

For decades, doctors have been instructing me on what are millions of different techniques to intensely freeze every appearance. Nothing stuck with me. I did not come close to a little rant with my 150 minute a week enhanced record. But when my doctor told me about how to quickly reduce my high blood sugar with my body’s efforts – in other words, all the things a sick young ozen pick learns – I found new motivation.

With the help of the Apple Watch Series 6, Krstic is tracking biometric data about his exercise in order to achieve the goals set by his doctor. He linked the fitness tracker to the physician’s EHR software, allowing the health care provider to keep these characteristics remote.

As with Ozempesa and Begovi, these are irreversible for more effective results, and Dr. Worley strives to ensure that patients adopt it as a new habit throughout their lives, even if semaglutide is eventually taken out of view. It’s all about how functional it is,” he says. And if that means having more walking meetings or standing up initially, that’s a start,” he says. It’s about getting into the habit of starting small, like how to make time for activity in your life, and just building up.

During the first four weeks of my recovery from Ozenpake, I told myself to get up five days a week and walk just one mile, and I kept at it throughout the pandemic. I united against my acquired back pain, aches, and terrible synsplints. But after a week, I found that my blood glucose levels remained stable and in range, even after diet and exercise. And because I worried that this advantage might fade, I promised myself that I would exercise every day by week 6, just in case I let myself go. I started jogging in December, five months after starting Ozempic. Recently I have also been going to the gym and doing strength training.

The doctor warned me that I was in the middle of a marathon, not a short run; Worley’s Doctor includes the same conversation with his own patients. The thought is, how do we build a foundation for a fresher life, best health, and of course, weight loss and a more sustainable lifestyle in this environment?” He adds.

As you may have heard, Ozempic does not recommend weight loss.

GLP-1 agonist injections are more likely to be used as advertising language asking for weight loss. In particular, Ozenpick shows counseling materials that hope patients will likely lose “up to 14 pounds” of weight if they take this product; Wegovy releases more than 15 percent of the weight loss that is not vaccinated. But people don’t know that diet and exercise contribute to these numbers.

What [the weight loss figures] are based on are studies done over the past few years by the company that makes the drug,” explains Dr. Mathur, a Cedars-Sinai physician, citing information published at the time in the new British Medical Journal in 2021. This included data from about 2,000 obese patients in clinical trials.

“Physiological exercise and menu changes, combined with what is called lifestyle intervention, showed the researchers that the average weight loss was 13 to 15 pounds, and that is where those numbers came from… But that’s the story of the study. It is when these patients have staff that are calling them by name and encouraging them. It is not a real universe. Some people are pretty good at targeting this product and other people, unlike a lot of people.”

Ozempic’s side effects are no joke.

The bulk of the hype around Ozempic last fall followed a story highlighting the nature of more than 10 side effects. effects Tied to Semaglutide, some of which are acquired and unstable. Including people with diabetes who have noticed that Ozempic has safely tamed blood sugar, nausea, vomiting, and uncomfortable pain in the abdomen, as well as, as a rule, either an absolute clog of diarrhea or constipation. Semotide can still lead to pancreatitis, some forms of renal failure, or thyroid tumors. The situation of people coping with severe hospitalization due to continuous vomiting or heart deficiency has become a normal phenomenon by most reports. The majority of patients feel sick when they draw. For example, when the initial dose increases and the digestive system begins to slow down, Dr. Maharry explains

The symptom that caused me a lot of pain was constipation. Five days after my first dose, my digestion slowed to a crawl and I had no chance to go to elementary school. Before I woke up one day in the afternoon, actually 4 days were over, I felt an annoying pain in the lower part of my intestinal tract. It took me an hour to simplify myself. I had to lie on my stomach for 18 hours whining in pain as I drew a crack in my rectum.

During the first months I was very nauseous, so as a rule I did not feed even after 2 or 3 days and usually skipped meals. At the moment, after injections in the direction of at least 12 hours, as I myself am on a dose of 1 mg for more than 4 months, I still feel pain. My constipation eventually swung in the opposite direction and stayed there – I had severe diarrhea that lasted in the direction of 2 months and left whenever I changed my dosage, as my doctor instructed.Dr. Mathur says my experience is typical, because I have been on the product for at least 12 hours and have had no pain.

This product definitely helped compensate for the elevated blood sugar and definitely helped me lose the overweight. It is something I am willing to pay for, especially considering the high likelihood of regaining weight when going cold turkey.

I could sit on Ozempik for the rest of my life.

Patients can actually be prescribed label semaglutide, especially if they can pay out of their own pockets. However, people seldom realize that diabetes and obesity doctors have been complying with the drug for years to prevent rapid weight gain and other changes. There is no short-term application for Ozenpeika or most semiglutide products on the market. effects It is intolerable to them.

Semaglutide is a long-term therapy,” Dr. Mahari explains, “because it loses its superior properties as soon as the drug is taken. ‘We have not healed obesity or diabetes, so it is believed that we are only healing it with this drug. …. your body will go back to where it was after you stop because we haven’t healed anything, we have, you have treated alone.”

How is Ozempic administered?
Phase 1: 0, 25 mg

All patients begin with a dose of 0.25 mg once a week. They will be carefully checked by a medical professional while getting this dose for a minimum of two months, if not an absolute month. They are likely to experience discomfort, but there is a possibility of progression as the dose increases.

Phase 2: 0, 5 mg

According to the manufacturer’s instructions, if the patient can tolerate Ozempicha and stays on this dose for at least one month, they will finish a dose of 0.5 mg once a week. This is the moment when almost everyone feels the majority of their symptoms, tells us.

Phase 3: 1 mg

Those who need further glycemic control have the opportunity to dose up to 1 mg per week when their personal supplier of medical care from the manufacturer completes the HBA1C study and completes Ozempik’s efficacy in his case. In fact, he will remain on weekly 1 mg injections after more than 7 months of healing.

Phase 4: 2 mg

The maximum dose of Ozempik is 2 mg and is used only when the patient remains at least one month at 1 mg per direction. The unavailability of more than two doses at this power means that the patient will probably start the schedule at 0.25 mg after resuming injections.

This means that they should expect to stay on Ozempic or Vegovi for some reason or another. This applies even more to those who do not have a personal lifestyle.

There will be patients who will have to continue using [semiglutide injections] indefinitely at the same dose,” adds Houston’s Dr. Worley. ‘Are there patients who will have to be maintained on a lower dose or switched to a different drug?’ That is possible.”

The hype about weight loss is difficult for those of us who really need Ozempic to get this product.

There is nothing (including side effects! effects !!!) Destroyed my life more than fishing month after month. In August 2022, when I received my first recipe, I was called from a nearby CFS. I had no idea how they drive Ozenpick, so I asked if they wanted to move my recipe to another chain nearby. When the counter offered to pay the original $450 I started sobbing. Since no one informed me about the price, I quickly realized that I did not get the best price because this pharmacy was not my preferred supplier.

Designed by Betsy Farrell

I sit on the phone with various CFS pharmacists looking for 3 or 4 hour doses because I can’t go outside the CVS network. Most locations are outside of Ozempik daily. This is only sought when it is time for a refill. This means I have to travel for hours on public transportation to find what I need. I asked the pharmacist in hysterics 6 hours after I missed my strictly planned dose. This is a reality for many others who use Ozempic.

Why the shortage? There are several reasons. Drug maker Novo Nordisk has previously stated that it will have difficulty providing Wegovy in 2021. As a result, people went looking for Ozenpick (a lower dose of the same drug) for a recipe that was not included in the memo. This resulted in a shortage in 2022. The mainstream believes that the abuse of Ozempic for weight loss only encourages more and more Yanks to take it, and that people with diabetes do not have access to it. But others say stubborn global supply problems, caused in part by the pandemic, are the main reason why social media has exacerbated an already low supply of fashions that fit.

In a statement to Good Housekeeping, Novo Nordisk said deliveries of 1 and 2 mg Ozenpick pens have stabilized, except for “delivery issues” with starter injectable doses of 0. 25 mg and 0. 50 mg. vanishing months.Wegovy has fully recovered from its supply deficit, the company said. ‘Maintaining a moderate offer is seen as a priority. We will carefully monitor trends in medical products and gradually introduce them as demand is assessed,” the company said in a statement.

“While some medical suppliers claim that they can supply Ozempica to patients for the purpose of losing, promoting, inviting, or encouraging the use of our medical products, we are fully committed to all applicable U.S. laws and standards after serving in the promotion of our products. We believe that a health care professional must consider a patient’s individual needs and determine which medication is appropriate for that particular patient.

In California, where experts say they believe the shortage of semaglutide is more progressive, Artmatul said he worked with colleagues at Cedars-Sinai to create a protocol for patients who need the drug to keep their blood sugar stable. These strategies, including sending patients to Canadian pharmacies, “diabetes patients … Those were considered key values to get the product quickly, and we had to sort some things out.”

Hot Take Public Network and Osem Europe’s Gossip Magazine dubbed contribute to the fat shame.

As fall turned to winter, gossip magazines from the glory of the modest use of semaglutide began to emphasize that Public Network had “condemned” the use of certain unfair labels. Public statements by celebrities brought even greater stigma about ozempic and sliming drugs in general. Meghan McCain wrote that it was frightening when doctors said Most people think . I saw a real housewife, Kyle Richards, carefully detailing her physiological exercise and diet. As she told people, she would never “run away from an easy turn”; Bragebrity girlfriend Jackie Goldschieder called the product a “needle eating disorder”; Khloe Kardashian is an Ozempike user and claimed that people were “known” for it because they credited “years of training” when they accused her of

The message?Ozempik is essentially “cheating,” and if you can’t lose excess weight by adjusting your lifestyle, don’t try your best.

This reinforces the notion that those who use Ozenpake to manage their health are not doing it the “right” way, and reinforces the norm that obese people are not the least bit interested in their own diet or physiological exercise. And even more surprisingly, overweight people like myself do not have the discipline to change our own baggage.

The author poses for a photo during a walk in mid-December 2022, about five months after Ozenpake’s healing in Scottsdale, Arizona. krstic turned to vacation plans that would allow her to incorporate daily exercise into her own travels.

If there is one thing I think my family, friends, and colleagues will gain from my diabetes journey, it is this. I have never shown such tremendous patience, perseverance, and loyalty to my own physiological health. In fact, as of this writing, my A1C has stabilized at 5.5% and I have lost 64 lbs. Patients who have triumphed with other variants such as Ozempese and Wegovy need to have the same determination and work just as hard as everyone else to actually get in shape.

In a nutshell, I have worked hard to get here and still have a long way to go.

But I am taking it easy on this. Because I have spent decades trying to live a healthier life and get to where I am today. Like most people who have resorted to semi-glutide, I am lucky to have Ozenpake. This seems to be my last desire for real change. And if you truly value and appreciate your friends and family who struggle with their own health and weight, you will understand how they have invested in themselves and realize that it is much deeper than before and after Instagram pictures.
