Famotidine is used in the treatment of duodenal ulcer; gerd; erosive esophagitis; cutaneous mastocytosis; duodenal ulcer prophylaxis and belongs to the drug class H2 antagonists. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Famotidine 20 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
