Gonal-f (folitropine alfa) injection is considered a natural hormone used to stimulate the follicle (egg). Gonal-f is used when a woman is eager to conceive and the ovaries have had a chance to produce follicles, but hormonal stimulation is not sufficient to mature the follicles. Follicle – stimulating hormone (FSH) is still used to stimulate the formation of multiple egg cells for in vitro fertilization; FSH can be used by men to increase sperm production.

Clinical skills

Because clinical studies are conducted under very different circumstances, the characteristics of an adverse effect observed in a clinical study of a product are not likely to be exactly comparable to the characteristics observed in a clinical study of another product. It is more likely that these characteristics correspond to those actually observed.

Women

The safety of Gonal-F was investigated in four clinical studies involving 691 women [two ovulation induction studies (454 women) and two ART tests (237 women)].

Ovulation Induction

Induction of spermatogenesis

The safety of gonal-F for induction of spermatogenesis in men with primary or secondary gonadal gadaloplasmosis was examined in three open-label, nonrandomized, multichamber, multinational, escalated clinical studies (Studies 1, 2, and 3) conducted in 76 adult men (ages 16 to 48 ) with primary or secondary gonadal gadropic advanced hypogonadism (defined on the basis of serum testosterone).

During these studies, a 50-year-old man treated for 9 months with gonal-f had one responsible gynecomastia reaction requiring surgical removal of breast tissue. The pathology report documented gynecology without atypia.

There was virtually no stop settlement due to side effects.

gonal-f injections for IVF use, dosage, cost, side effects

Gonal-F Shot is a fertility product with gonadotrophins used in ovarian stimulation cycles for IVF and other fertility enhancing cycles. Doses range from 75 to 1, 050 IU, but Gonal-F 300, Gonal-F 450, and Gonal-F 900 are most used.

Some doses of gonal-f are supplied in pens for subcutaneous injection. Depending on the dose, it can be used in IVF or IUI cycles.

Below is an 11 point index, which we hope to resolve in this message.

Description and Price

Gonal-F has an image of a hormone called recombinant FSH (R-FSH). It is produced to promote ovarian growth and development. Recombinant FSH is not of human origin (as in the case of menopur), but is formed with the help of genetic techniques in the laboratory.

Gonal-F has an active component follitropin alfa. Depending on the concentration of this hormone, gonal-f is sold in different types, each containing a specific composition.

Gonal-F can be found in two sizes. It distinguishes itself by the way it is entered.

Each gonal-f image has a different number of follitropin alphas. The physician administers a number corresponding to the number of FSH, which is important for the fertility healing cycle. Below are inexpensive doses and their costs

Gonal-F 75 75 IE/0, 5 mL (5, 5 micrograms). U.S. $100 per unit, approximate. gonal-F 300 IE/0, 5 mL (22 micrograms). Gonal-f 450 450 IE/0, 75 ml (33 micrograms). 260 $. U.S. about per unit. gonal-f 900 900 IE/1, 5 mL (66 micrograms). Gonal-F 1050 IU/1, 75 mL (77 micrograms). Costs vary.

When treatment with gonal-f begins

Treatment with Gonal-F should be initiated under the supervision of a physician experienced in the treatment of fertility disorders. The following are the more well-known indications

Anovulation, such as women with PCOS (Polycysteus Ovary Syndrome) or women with inadequate ovulatory cycles, whether or not they have used clomiphene citrate (Clomid) or letrozole (Femera) Stimulation with IVF-Cycli, among women who have received vitro fertilization induced an increase in follicles. The purpose of using gonadotropic hypogonadism (HH)gonal is to promote sperm production in men with natural or acquired spermatogenesis problems.

Preventive Measures.

Before taking this product, you should tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to this or any other product containing FSH or if you have any other allergies.

Gonal-F contains inactive ingredients that may cause allergic reactions or other problems in some people. Consult your pharmacist before use.

Also tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical situation, especially if you experience or have experienced other fertility or health problems.

Gonal-F may only be administered by well-motivated and well-trained patients. Access to professional advice is important for this. Special attention should be paid to the specific instructions for the first use of the filled pen.

Patients with known hypersensitivity to gonadotrophins that do not contain FSH are at increased risk of cross-sensitivity. Therefore, the first injection of gonal-f should be administered under direct medical supervision.

HOW TO USE

Gonal-F is available in a variety of packages, but preparation and use are literally the same in all cases.

For women undergoing an IVF cycle, the clinic staff will teach them step-by-step how to administer Gonal-F. In any case, it is advisable to read the package leaflets before taking any pictures.

These are the steps that must be followed to administer gonal-f in the correct manner.

  1. Reconstitute the product by combining the liquid with the drug until it is homogeneous and free of suspended particles. If particles are present, do not use the product.
  2. Place a new needle in the pen and adjust to the prescribed dose.
  3. Clean the injection space with alcohol before administering the dose. The lower abdomen is considered the appropriate injection space.
  4. Inject gonal-f under the skin or under the muscle as prescribed by the physician.
  5. Always discard needles and medical devices.

Gonal-F can be footprinted once daily at the same time each day. To minimize trauma under the skin, it is recommended that the injection space be changed at one time.

This information does not alter the physician’s instructions. Contact your physician if you are concerned that you have administered a very large dose of gonal-f or if you have used it incorrectly.

Dosage

Dosage of gonal-f varies on a case-by-case basis and depending on the treatment being prescribed. The ultimate goal of using this medication is not the same for IVF and IUI cycles, as indicated below.

IUI gonal-f injection

During an IUI cycle, the patient usually undergoes mild stimulation of the ovaries. In fact, the goal is not to stimulate the ovaries, but to produce ovulation, since at least two to three follicles are needed to develop.

Therefore, the dose of gonal-f that is important in an IUI cycle is usually 75 or 150 iu. Daily doses rarely exceed 225 iu.

Gonal-F injections for IVF/ICSI.

Contrary to what happens in an IUI cycle, IVF patients receive controlled stimulation of the ovaries (cos). In this case, the goal is to obtain 8-15 adult follicles. This can later be collected by the follicular unit. For this purpose, the appropriate dose of gonal-f varies from 150 to 450 once a day.

Regardless of the fertility treatment, the physician plans a series of prognostic visits to evaluate estradiol levels and follicle height. The dose administered can be adjusted according to what the physician sees at each visit.

Whether you need to undergo IUI or IVF to become a mother, we encourage you to request a current fertility report; in three easy steps you will get a list of hospitals that meet your preferences and our strict ownership aspects. Additionally, you will receive an emailed report with tips for your first visit to Fertility Clinic.

Contraindications.

Do not use this product if you are allergic or resistant to follitropin ALFA, FSH, or one of the operating fabrics from which this drug is made.

Additionally, Gonal-F is contraindicated in protective evaluations, where there are good ones.

Interactions & side effects

First of all, it should be understood that no clinically significant interactions between drugs have been reported during treatment with gonal-f.

Nevertheless, Gonadoreline or GnRH are products that may have interactions with gonal-f that increase the dose of gonal-f needed to produce an adequate ovarian response.

Many patients have few side effects effects Others can develop smooth side effects during or after administration of Gonal-F effects or side effects covering reactions to the injection space (bruising, discomfort, pain, swelling, etc.), headache, or occurrence of ovarian cysts.
