What is Bromfed DM?

Brompheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of the body’s natural chemical histamine. Histamine can cause symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. It affects signals in the brain that cause the cough reflex.

Pseudo-fedrine is an antiglycemic agent that narrows blood vessels in the nasal cavity. Increased vascularity has all the opportunity to cause nasal congestion (hidden nose).

Bromfed DM is a combination medication used to treat coughs, watery or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, and eyes caused by allergies, colds, or the flu.

Bromfed DM does not treat coughs caused by smoking, asthma, or emphysema.

Bromfed DM may continue to be used for purposes not listed in this drug guide.

Warning.

Do not use this medication if you have used an MAOI in the past 14 days. Hazardous drug interactions may occur; MAOIs include isocarboxide, linear, phenolzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.

Before using this medication

Do not use Bromfed DM if you have used an MAOI in the past 14 days. Unsafe interactions may occur; MAOIs include isocarboxide, linear, phenolzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.

To make sure that Bromfed DM is not dangerous for you, tell your doctor if you have any of the following symptoms

• Asthma or COPD, cough with phlegm or cough caused by smoking, emphysema or acquired bronchitis.
• Obstruction of the digestive tract (stomach or intestines).
• High blood pressure; heart disease
• Liver or kidney disease
• Glaucoma;.
• Phlegmatic cough or cough caused by emphysema or acquired bronchitis.
• Prostatic enlargement or urinary problems.
• Pheochromocytoma (adrenal tumor).
• Hyperactive thyroid gland. or
• Potassium intake (Cytra, Epiklor, K-Lyte, K-Phos, Kaon, Klor-Con, Polycitra, Urocit-K).

FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known if Bromfed DM is harmful to the fetus. If pregnant, do not use this medication without medical advice.

This medication may pass into breast milk and harm the baby. Antihistamines and decongestants may slow down the production of breast milk. Do not use this medication without medical advice if you are breastfeeding your baby.

How should I take Bromfed DM?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as directed by your physician. Do not use more or less than the recommended dose or for longer than recommended. Cough and frost medicines are usually taken only for short periods of time until symptoms disappear.

Dosage – Adults and infants 12 years and older: 2 teaspoons every 4 hours. infants 6 to 12 years: 1 teaspoon every 4 hours. infants 2 to 6 years: 1 teaspoon every 4 hours. infants 6 months to 2 years: dose should be determined by a physician. Always consult your doctor before giving your child cough or frost medicine. In very young children, death can result from the incorrect use of cough or frost medicines.

Medicines should be measured with a special measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dosage measuring device, ask your pharmacist.

Do not take more than 7 days at a time; if symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment or if you have a fever with an uncomfortable headache or rash, consult a physician.

Inform your doctor in advance if surgery or a physical exam occurs or if you have taken this medication in the last few days.

Keep at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.

What happens if I overdo the dosage?

Moped DM is taken as needed and may not have a dosing schedule. If you take the medication regularly, take the missed dose as soon as you try to remember. If you have little time to take the correct planned dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take ancillary medications to make up for missed doses.

What happens if I ignore the Brompheda DM Method?

Drinking alcohol reinforces the side effects of Brompheniramine, Dextromethorphan, and Pseudo-fedrine.

Consult your physician or pharmacist before using alternative means against colds, coughs, allergies, or sleep. Antihistamines and cough medicines are often used in combination. Very large quantities of certain products can be obtained by cooperative methods. Look at the label and recognize whether the medication contains an antihistamine product or a cough-receptive agent.

This medication can cause blurred vision and worsen thinking and reactions. Drive or do anything that requires you to be alert or clear.

Avoid overheating and dehydration during exercise and in warm weather. Bloompheniramine and pseudoephedrine can reduce sweating and make you more sensitive to heat shock.

Side Effects of BROMFED DM

If you have any of these symptoms of an allergic reaction, find the medical help you need Difficulty breathing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using Moped DM and consult your doctor immediately if you are suffering from

• Confusion, intense restlessness, hallucinations, tremors;.
• Silly or superficial breathing;.
• Sensation of lightness in the head, as if you could lose consciousness .
• Fast heartbeat pit or heartbeat pit;.
• Painful or difficult urination, little or no urination.

What should I tell my care team before using these medications?

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth. Take it as directed on the label. Measure the dose using a specially labeled oral syringe, spoon, or dropper. Ask your own pharmacist if you do not have one. Family spoons are not considered accurate. Do not take more often than intended.

Talk to your health care provider about the use of this medication in children. This product can be prescribed for children 2 years of age and older for selected criteria, but precautions should be used.

Patients 65 years of age and older can have stronger reactions to this medication and require the lowest dose.

Persistence: If you suspect you are taking a large dose of this medication, contact an Antigif center or emergency department.

NOTE: This medication is for you and you alone. Do not share this medication with others.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Do not use. This medication is not for continuous use. It should be used only when necessary.

What can this drug interact with?

Do not take this medication in combination with appropriate medications:

• Ergot alkaloids such as dihydrogotamine, ergonovan, ergotamine, and methylgonovine.
• Maenes such as Marplan, Nardil, and Pernate.
• Ozanimod.

This drug can still interact with the appropriate medications:

• Alcohol.
• Certain medications for fear and sleep.
• Certain medications for depression, such as amitriptyline, fluoxetine, sertraline.
• Specific medications for aggression such as Phenobarbital, Primidon.
• Common anesthetics such as Halothane, Isoflurane, Methoxyflurane, Propofol.
• Blood pressure medications
• Muscle relaxants before surgery
• Narcotic drugs for pain
• Other antihistamines for allergies, coughs, and colds
• Phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, mesoridazine, prochlorperazine, and thioridazine

This list does not cover all possible interactions. Provide the caregiver with a list of all medications, herbs, freely available drugs or supplements that you use. Also tell them if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some things may come in contact with your medication.

What should I pay attention to when using this drug?

See your caregiver for a systematic check of your progress. Tell your care provider if your symptoms get worse or worse.

• Serotonin syndrome (irritability; confusion; diarrhea; rapid or irregular heartbeat; muscle pull; stiff muscles, difficulty walking; sweating; maximum fever, cramps, convulsions, closing; vomiting)
• Problems with peeing

Side effects that usually do not require medical assistance (notify your own physician or care provider if surviving or annoying)

• Fear
• Dizziness
• Dry mouth
• Sleep
• Unusually incapacitated or tired

Where can I keep my medicine?

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Store at room temperature between 20-25 degrees Celsius (68-77 degrees Fahrenheit). Discard unused medications after they expire.

To get rid of medications that you no longer need or that have expired:

• Take the medication and take the pills. Contact your pharmacy or law enforcement agency to locate them.
• If you cannot return the medication, check the label or leaflet to see if you should throw the pills in the trash or the toilet. If in doubt, ask your own doctor.
